Police on scene of fatal accident in front of Mishawaka High School

The Mishawaka Police Department responded to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian Monday around 8 p.m.
The accident happened in front of Mishawaka High School on Lincolnway East and Mason Street.
According to multiple departments dispatched to the scene, there is one fatality.
Authorities say a man was hit while walking near the high school.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
