Elkhart supermarket broken into and robbed Wednesday morning

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department is reporting a break in at Supermarket Los Chamos in the 900 block of Goshen Avenue Wednesday morning. 

Police say that officers were dispatched to the supermarket around 4:35 a.m. for a triggered alarm.

"Upon arrival, officers observed broken glass on the front door. The business owner reported that an unknown subject stole cash from the open register," EPD said. "The suspect left before police arrival, and this case remains under investigation."
