BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—A new push to get more people to move to southwest Michigan seems to be working.
Benton Harbor-based Cornerstone Alliance reported that 300 families applied for its new “Move to Michigan” bonus program for remote workers.
The program offers over $15,000 in incentives for remote workers who move to the area.
The first 20 families have already been accepted and Cornerstone Alliance estimates that those families will generate more than $1.3 million in spending in the Berrien County region once they move in.
