NORTH LIBERTY, Ind. -- Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, alongside members of the Indiana DNR and Pokagon Band, dedicated a cornerstone Tuesday, marking the next phase of construction for the new lodge at Potato Creek State Park.
It's the first new lodge at an Indiana state park since 1939. Basement walls are in the process of being built and a section of the parking lot is starting to form, less than two months after breaking ground.
Eventually, the lodge will house 120 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art water facility, banquet hall and more amenities. Construction is expected to wrap up by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
