UPDATE: One person seriously injured in Elkhart crash Tuesday afternoon

ELKHART, Ind. - UPDATE: Police say the accident happened just after noon and one individual suffered a serious but non-life-threatening head laceration. No other injuries were reported.

ORIGINAL STORY: Elkhart Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Bristol Street and Osolo Road that occurred around 12:10 p.m.

Elkhart Police have confirmed there were six vehicles involved in the crash, with only two vehicles able to drive away. One person was taken to the hospital.

The intersection in now cleared and open to traffic.

Police say there were multiple vehicles involved and one potentially serious injury with no fatalities.

The Crash Construction Team was activated and will be handling the investigation.
