1 Dead, 30 injured in Illinois double-decker bus crash

LITCHFIELD, Ill -- A free-way is back open after a deadly bus crash.

A double-decker rammed into a cement pillar. One person died, more than 30 others were rushed to hospitals Thursday afternoon.

The Megabus was going from Chicago to St. Louis when the accident happened. Initial reports said the bus caught a flat tire right before the crash.

The cause is still under investigation. Megabus is one of the largest curbside bus operators in the U.S.

It runs 250 buses in 80 cities.
