ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- A 19-year-old female from Three Rivers ran off the roadway while driving a Dodge Charger and went airborne.

Michigan State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on M 86 near Shimmel Rd on June 22, around 9:30 p.m.

The vehicle was carrying six additional passengers, including a 13-year-old female who was ejected from the vehicle. The female was pronounced deceased on scene. 

Authorities say the Dodge Charger was traveling west bound when it passed another vehicle, ran off the roadway and overcorrected before going airborne and rolling over. 

While the investigation is still ongoing, speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash.
