14-year-old facing charges in 1st Source Bank robbery

A 14-year-old was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection with the robbery of the 1st Source Bank in July, according to Elkhart Police.

The robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. on July 19 at the 1st Source Bank on E. Bristol Street.

Three men wearing masks and dark clothing entered the bank, displayed guns and demanded money.

They fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money.

Police said evidence was used to identify one of the suspects.

The 14-year-old was arrested on November 15 and charged with one count of robbery.

He is being held at the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center.
