19 Kids found home alone in 100 degree heat

KENTUCKY -- A Kentucky couple is in hot water after police found 19 kids living in 100 degree heat with no food, water, or air conditioning.

The kids, ranging in age From 8 months to 14-years-old, were taken to the hospital. After being treated and released, the children went into protective services.

A neighbor said she's glad someone checked on the kids.

"I noticed that the parents hadn't been home in about four or five days,” said Annie Adams. “I know they have dogs. I know the dogs haven't been outside to use the restroom. I know that they have 13 children. I know that not all of them were there at that time but I did hear babies crying."

Charges are pending against the couple who live in the home. Nine dogs and a cat were also taken from the home and given to Animal Control.
