2-year-old dies after being hit by trailer in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - A two-year-old child died after being hit by a trailer in Cass County Friday afternoon, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers were called to the 13000 block of Carter Lake Road around 3:30 p.m. for the incident.
According to the investigation, the two-year-old likely wandered in between a truck and the trailer just before a family member moved them.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
