KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reports a former mayoral candidate for the city of Plymouth was killed while directing traffic at a job site near Waco Drive Friday afternoon.
According to officials, the fatal collision occurred in the area of Waco Drive, south of Syracuse, on State Road 13 around 2 p.m. Friday.
Plymouth resident and former mayoral candidate, 29-year-old Ben Fisher, was preparing to leave the site when he was struck and killed, authorities say.
A formal press release is expected to be issued on Monday.
The mayor of Plymouth, Mark Senter, expressed his condolences to the Fisher family.
