3-year-old struck by car in Elkhart County

A 3-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.
The investigation revealed the 3 year-old ran into the roadway into the path of a vehicle traveling southwest on SR119, just west of CR13.
The car struck the child just before coming to a complete stop.
The child, Collette Stump, was taken to the hospital with abrasions to her face.
According to deputies, no enforcement action was taken.
