Authorities say around 6:21 a.m. jail staff called for an ambulance for 31-year-old Corbin Eby.
"[Eby] was immediately transported to Elkhart General Hospital by ambulance," ECSO Captain Michael Culp. " At approximately 8 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office was notified that [Eby] had died while being treated at the hospital. Per normal protocol, the Sheriff’s Office requested the Elkhart County Homicide Unit to the scene to investigate."
Authorities are not releasing any more information at this time.
