2500+ Indiana Michigan Power customers remain without power

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) reports that only 2,501 customers are still without power after severe storms rolled through Michiana Friday night.

I&M has restored power to nearly 90% of the 20,000 customers that lost power across southwest Michigan and northern Indiana.

According to a press release, I&M has brought in additional crews to supplement I&M internal crews and contractors to help restore power.

I&M expects to restore power to all affected customers in the Three Rivers area by 3 p.m. and Benton Harbor by 11 p.m. Paw Paw may continue beyond 3 p.m. due to a circuit sustaining heavy damage.

I&M puts outage numbers at 2,300 in the Benton Harbor area and 400 in the Three Rivers area.
