Icy Roads Overnight
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Police Department reports officers responded to the 500 block of E. 18th Street regarding a reported shooting around 1 a.m., Monday.
Police say upon arrival, a 35-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say this was an isolated incident and a person of interest has been identified.
Authorities say the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
