38 injured in CTA train crash in Chicago

CHICAGO – At least 38 people were injured in a crash involving a Chicago Transit Authority train in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood Thursday morning, according to ABC7.

At least three of the 38 people are critically injured. Seven of the 38 injured are CTA personnel.

Rogers Park is on the city’s north side.

The incident happened just after 10:30 a.m. when a Yellow Line train collided with a CTA snow plow in the Howard Rail Yard, according to preliminary information.

Yellow and Purple line service has been suspended for the time being.
