4 vehicles stolen in Elkhart early Monday morning

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police are investigating the theft of four vehicles at four different locations Monday morning. Police said they do not believe the thefts are related.

Drivers should be careful not to leave their vehicle unattended while warming it up.

The department recommends using either a remote starter or bundling up and staying with the vehicle while it is warming up.

The vehicles were reported stolen from the following locations:

  • 600 block of Capitol Boulevard: Vehicle reported stolen between 4:51 and 5:37 a.m.
  • 200 block of S 5th Street: Vehicle reported stolen between 4:50 and 4:55 a.m.
  • 1600 block of Belmont Avenue: Vehicle reported stolen between 4:25 and 4:30 a.m.
  • 700 block of Aspenwald Avenue: Vehicle reported stolen between 3:50 and 4:10 a.m.
