42-year-old Niles man faces several drug and firearm charges

NILES, Mich. -- The Niles Police Department, Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) west detectives, the Berrien County TRU Team, and MSP Niles Post troopers report they executed a search warrant at a residence on Sycamore Street in Niles on Tuesday, which resulted in one arrest.

The report states the search warrant was obtained following an investigation by detectives after receiving several tips and complaints of drug activity in and around the residence.

Authorities say during the search, police seized a quantity of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, a firearm and ammo, and other paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking.

The report states a 42-year-old Niles man was arrested and taken to the Berrien County jail on several charges, including possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine and cocaine, maintaining a drug house, felon in possession of a firearm, and felony firearm.
