Police searching for suspect in shooting that injured 5-year-old girl

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety and Major Crimes Unit are actively searching for a suspect involved in a shooting Saturday at 2:38 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Britain Avenue that struck two people.

Two innocent bystanders were struck by rounds, one of which being a 5-year-old girl playing out front of her house on Britain. The other victim was an adult male who was driving by at the time of the shooting.

Neither victim sustained life threatening injuries. Both are in stable condition.

Shots were reported to be fired from a white vehicle.
