SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The First Annual "Hoofin-It 5K Race" will be hosted by Reins of Life in South Bend on September 11.

This event, located at 55200 Quince Rd, raises money for area children and adults with disabilities.

Runners and walkers will be able to race through 24 acres of horse pastures and 20 acres of wooded trails for this 5K event.

All registered 5K runners and walkers will receive a tee shirt for the race and a registration packet.

Awards and ribbons for top finishers will be awarded on site.

Registration discounts are available for veterans, first responders, and active duty members.

The Warren Township Fire Department will be in attendance to honor the lives that were lost on 9/11.
