6-year-old Michigan boy airlifted to hospital after ATV crash

COLON TOWNSHIP, MI - A 6-year-old southwest Michigan boy is in the hospital after crashing an all-terrain vehicle.
It happened Sunday morning on Ferrand Road in Colon Township.
The St. Joseph county sheriff's office says Benjamin O'Connell was riding the ATV up a dirt mound, when the machine turned sideways, then rolled over.
O'Connell was airlifted to Bronson Hospital.
There's no word on his condition.
Investigators say the boy wore a helmet.
