CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A 79-year-old Otsego, Michigan woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson Township on Saturday afternoon.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the area of M-60 and Daily Road around 1:30 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash.

Deputies determined a vehicle, driven by the 79-year-old woman, was traveling south on Daily Road. While attempting to enter M-60, another vehicle, driven by a 31-year-old New Carlisle woman, traveling west on Daily Road struck her.

The 79-year-old was taken to Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities say drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in this incident.
