911 landline services restored in Elkhart County

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department says land line phone services are restored and callers needing emergency assistance can use a land line phone to call 9-1-1 again.

The department issued a release Thursday morning saying the 9-1-1 center was experiencing issues and was not able to receive land line 9-1-1 calls.

Service was restored just before 1 p.m.

Both the department's administrative and correctional buildings will be open during normal hours today from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
