9Th anniversary of Mars Rover

The Mars Rover opportunity has been on the red planet for nine years today.
The mission surpsied even mission managers at NASA. They say they would have been happy if the Rover last for 90 days. In all that time, the Rover's traveled 22 miles in tough terrains where temperatures can fluctuate 100 degrees in just a few hours.
