SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Bikers will ride for a good cause at the "Rabbott's Rosie Ride" fundraiser Saturday which benefits A Rosie Place for Children, a respite children's hospital.

A Rosie Place for Children was started by Tieal Bishop, after her 3-month-old stayed in the hospital for 8 months after contracting RSV. She felt that she had no support. Now she's building community across the region.

"We have this amazing culture here of medically fragile children and families," Bishop says. "We have hundreds of them that come together, different times throughout the year, right here on site at A Rosie Place. Bikers coming alongside these children is a next level of community. They're able to see how families interact, what their needs are, they have come by, they've dropped off checks. They really want to know what it is like to have a child like this and what they could do about it. So, every person that comes out that day, every t-shirt they buy-which is their registration to get in-really goes directly towards serving children and having respite for their families."

For the last 15 years the center has allowed children to have a sleepover experience, and for parents and caregivers to get a break; for free. Serving all 92 counties in Indiana, this is why they would like to see you Saturday.

"Be a part of our mission and bring visibility to medically fragile children and their families." Says director of advancement Sherina Gonzalez, " There's so many beautiful people in the riding community that they often do rides for causes. this cause obviously is to help support our families and make sure they never pay. It'll just be a really fun time. It's going to be beautiful weather on Saturday, they can be out on the road for a couple hours, so it's a win-win situation."

You can register day of. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and kickstands go up at 11. The registration is $25 for single riders, $15 for additional riders, or $10 if you would only like to go to the after party included in the other tickets.
