LAGRANGE, Ind. -- Corn School is an annual event happening in LaGrange for 119 years. It's a street fair type festival that originally aimed to educate the public on corn production in Indiana. Over the years it's evolved, but it is still one of the primary ways this community unites every year.
ABC57's Sidney Moore spoke with Laurie Miller, the Clerk Treasurer for the Town of LaGrange, who has been collecting post cards from Corn Schools of the past with one of her earliest being around 1909. These post cards hold the memories of how Corn School has grown and highlight some of the key parts of Corn School that have remained the same, like the annual parade!
Corn School runs from Oct. 6-10, and for a full list of events visit their Facebook page.
