Inside The Lines with LeVon’s Parlay

 

SOUTH BEND, Ind -- Coming into week four, the only goal is to get back in the win column after unpredictable outcomes the past two weeks. 

The last two weeks were a disaster if you were betting on Notre Dame. They were 29-point favorites and lose by two to Northern Illinois.

Against Purdue they were 8-point favorites and win by 57. You just can't figure out which team you're going to get.

The last time I released a parlay, I spoke to Tim Murray with VSIN, the Vegas sports and Information Network, his advice was NIU +17 at halftime and boy was he right! 

With that being the case, I'm taking Murray’s advice this week because apparently, he knows something I don’t about this Notre Dame team. 

“Notre Dame fans. Were they satisfied with Saturday in West Lafayette? Were they more angry? And that's where I kind of stand is. I was a little bit more frustrated, like, where was this two weeks ago against Northern Illinois?” Murray said. 

“I think ultimately, what I came back on was there was a market of over a half touchdown. Essentially, will Miami (Ohio) score a touchdown on Saturday? And I'm going to say yes, because I do wonder late in this game, Notre Dame's got a monster game against Louisville coming up, plus Kennedy Urlacher and a lot of these young bucks showed really well against Purdue. But we know one thing, Chuck Martin (Miami Ohio Head Coach), he loves Notre Dame, and he coached there. He's a fan of this program, but, you know, he's going to want to try to figure out a way to get his team into the end zone on Saturday,” Murray added. 

LeVon’s parlay is just as simple for many of the same reasons. We know Notre Dame will come out strong on offense. At least in the run game. The gamble is Notre Dame’s defense starting the game with a sense of urgency. I also believe Miami (Ohio) scores more than 7 points. But even if it’s not by crossing the end zone, it could be their kicker Dom Dzioban. The Junior is responsible for 10 of 22 points this season, kicking 75%, and his longest being 43 yards. With that being said, here’s this week’s parlay. Enjoy and play responsibly.
