KNOX, Ind. -- On Aug 3 the Knox Police Department was dispatched to the 900 Block of South Prettyman Street in response to a reported disturbance. While investigating the incident, officers were provided information regarding the alleged sexual abuse of a child within the home.

Investigators with the Major Crimes Unit were contacted and responded to the scene, assuming responsibility for the investigation. Over the following week, investigators collected statements and potential evidence related to the allegations. The Indiana Department of Child Services also assisted with the investigation.

The suspect has been identified at 28-year-old Hunter L. Cole of Knox Indiana.

Cole was formally charged on Aug 10 and faces two counts of Child Molesting. Cole was taken into custody on Aug 14 and is being held at the Starke County Justice Center with a $100,000 cash bond.
