LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- LaGrange County lawmakers are receiving more backlash against turning Michiana into the new Silicon Prairie, after approving a moratorium on artificial intelligence data centers.

The LaGrange County Commissioners voted in favor of a one-year moratorium on data center developments.

This will allow them to study the impacts and enact proper regulations to limit the often-massive projects.

ahead of the vote, Commissioners acknowledged the concerns from the community.
