Michigan City Police investigating after woman was hit by train

ABC 57 MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Michigan City Police Department is investigating after a woman was struck by a train.
At around 9:39 p.m. on August 28, officers were dispatched to an area near the Greenwood Avenue and South Carroll Avenue railroad crossing for reports of an adult female that was struck by a train.
The woman was then transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
