SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame will take on UNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina without a few players, including wide receiver Quincy Porter, who's yet to play a single game this season as he still recovers from a left knee injury he suffered while at Ohio State last season.
Coach Marcus Freeman confirmed Porter will be out the rest of the season and is set to undergo a second surgery to repair the damaged tendon.
When it comes to injuries, prevention and recovery can vary from athlete to athlete.
The ABC57 Kickoff crew caught up with Notre Dame's winningest quarterback Ian Book and the experts over at OSMC to break down when you should stop trying to manage an injury on your own and see a doctor.
