South Bend community members and international organizers will gather for a public conversation

Black Lives Matter South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Community leaders from South Bend, Colombia, Mexico, and Guatemala will host an important public conversation at the St. Joseph County Public Library, Main Branch.

The event will take place on Thursday, July 2 at 6 p.m.

“Local struggles are deeply connected to international movements,” said BLM organizer Katt Redding. “The experiences of communities in South Bend are linked to broader efforts across the Americas to repair historical harm, expand democratic participation, and create more just and equitable societies.”

The focus is on how communities are building movements for accountability, human rights, and democratic participation.

Community members will get the opportunity to get remarks from local leaders.
