ST JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Around 5:18 p.m., St. Joseph County Police heard reports of a stolen vehicle out of Mishawaka. Shortly after, officers spotted the vehicle near Castle Point and attempted a traffic stop.

The suspect vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle traveled through the intersection of Angela and Michigan, with our officer following behind. At that point, both the suspect vehicle and our patrol vehicle collided with another vehicle in the intersection. The suspect vehicle was able to continue on.

Officers and the occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.

The suspect vehicle continued into South Bend, where South Bend Police officers were already on scene.

All occupants of the suspect vehicle bailed out near Parkovash Avenue. One individual was detained shortly after. A K-9 was then able to track and locate two additional individuals. One suspect remains outstanding.
