KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A 34-year-old Milford woman is facing theft and drug-related charges after allegedly stealing $320 during a controlled purchase of drugs set up by Narcotics Enforcement Team 43 with the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office Investigative Division.

Haley Fountain is charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 2 Felony, and Theft, a Misdemeanor.

Fountain's initial hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

According to the probable cause affidavit in this case, sometime between April 10 and 25, NET 43 arranged a confidential informant to make a controlled purchase of 14 grams of methamphetamine from a man and gave him $320 for the purchase.

Police then used digital surveillance to monitor the purchase.

The confidential informant and the man then ended up meeting with Fountain who said she charges $250 for one ounce, or 28.35 grams, of methamphetamine.

The man then gave Fountain the $320 to make the purchase. The confidential informant asked the man about providing too much money, to which he stated he needed to make a profit.

The informant then drove the man and Fountain to a store in downtown Warsaw before parking. Fountain told the two men she'd buy the meth and come back to the car.

Police say Fountain never returned with the money or the meth.

Investigators learned Fountain was previously convicted of Theft of a Firearm on Aug. 5, 2020, in Kosciusko County.
