22-year-old man shot in vehicle Saturday morning in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a male victim, authorities said Saturday.
According to a press release, officers were dispatched to an area hospital at approximately 5:25 a.m. Saturday morning to meet with a 22-year-old male walk-in victim.
Authorities say the victim had non-life threatening injuries to the face as well as cuts from broken glass.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim had been in a vehicle, potentially on LaSalle Avenue, when he was shot at by an unknown person between 4:30 a.m. and 5:20 a.m.
The case is being handled by the South Bend Police Investigative Bureau.
