A look at storm damage, day later

The storms that tore through Michiana on Monday afternoon left people all across Michiana without power. Tuesday morning many people woke up to their power still being out.

As of 6 a.m., Indiana Michigan Power reported that they had restored power to more than 40% of customers. Crews will work all day and into the coming days to clean up the the damage the round of thunderstorms created.

At the intersection of Red Bud Trail and Bertrand Road, a downed power line and tree limb created a blockage where Red Bud Trail turns into York Road.

As a result of the storms, about 32,500 customers lost power. Another round of thunderstorms are expected for Wednesday.
