A look inside the new St. Joe High

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Nearly one year ago, ground was broken for the new St. Joseph High School. A year later, much has changed at the former site of St. Joseph Hospital.

The walls are up and things are almost finished inside the new the building.

The school will be technology-centered education. Students won't use textbooks, they'll use laptops.

In addition to the building, there's a sports stadium that could host regionals and even has an underground tunnel that leads to the field.

"It's unbelievable to me when I think that one year ago this was a huge pile of dirt. And now we have this beautiful facility sitting here. So we are very, very excited to be able to move into our new home," Susan Richter, principal of Saint Joseph High School, said.

School leaders also unveiled new institutional and athletic logos.

Teachers will move in August 1 and classes begin August 27.
