A taste of Flavor 574: Men who cook, dorm daze and fall harvests

Flavor 574 food and restaurant critic Marshall King joins ABC 57 in studio talking about men who cook. And the more competitive they are, the better.

100 Men Who Cook

This year's big cook-off benefits the Elkhart County Boys & Girls Club. Right now, the club has enough funds to help 270 kids and teens spread out across three school sites during the week. But with more funding, the program could grow. You need tickets to attend the Oct. 24 event, but you can still volunteer.

Evil Czech Dorm Daze

Evil Czech Brewery is throwing it back to college living with a special Dorm Daze Beer Dinner this month. Think of it as classic college food, but with a gourmet twist. Just a sampling of what you'll find on the special menu includes mac stuffed jalapenos, evil ramen and naked Snickers. Head to Flavor574 for more information on how to make a reservation.

Taste if Unity Harvest Celebration

Unity Gardens is celebrating a bountiful harvest with it's fifth harvest celebration at the end of this month. Money raised at the benefit will go right back into the program to help support the free food gardens. It's happening at the Palais Royale on Oct. 22.

Seed to Feed Potato Harvest

Volunteers dug up more than 15,000 pounds of potatoes in the last few weeks, but the work's not over yet. Now Seed to Feed is looking for more than 150 volunteers to help scrub and bag all the spuds at Church Community Services.

Tune into the CW 23 at 7:30 a.m. on Thursdays for ABC57's weekly segment with Marshall King of Flavor 574.
