A taste of Flavor 574: Rolling out new menus

New Tastes at Evil Czech

What goes better with good brews, except great bar food? This week Mishawaka's Evil Czech Brewery rolled out a new menu a little more than a year after opening its doors.

Flavor 574 food and restaurant critic Marshall King got the chance to check it out, or taste it out rather, before the big roll-out. He says there are risks anytime a restaurant swaps out popular menu items, but in this case, it's a risk worth taking. Read more about the new "flavor bombs" on the menu here.

March of Dimes Signature Chef's Auction

Some of the top chef's from Michiana put together samples of their signature dishes for guests to try on Tuesday night. The March of Dimes has put the event on for the past 20 years helping raise money to improve the health of babies.

Chefs put together food pairings as well as auctioned off several sit-down meals with them.

This year, their goal was to raise more than $100,000.

Elkhart Dining Days

The final totals aren't in yet, but Elkhart restaurants that participated in this year's fourth annual Dining Days say they've sold more specials during this year and in turn, raised a lot of money for Church Community Services. A final tally will be updated on Flavor 574 in the next few days.
