A very windy day!

 A very windy day across Michiana, as we had expected!

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10PM tonight.  Winds will be sustained at 30-35MPH through the evening, with higher gusts.  

Driving will be difficult at times, especially along the toll road due to the south wind.  Leaves and branches will come down, and with them could come power lines.  

We are already getting reports of several outages across Michiana.

Gusts have already reached 40-50MPH in some spots.  

Bring in your trash cans, any lawn furniture, and any other items that could easily become airborne.  

It is a great idea to have your emergency kit ready, just in case you come home from work or school to a dark house (especially now that we have returned to standard time, and the sunset is earlier).  

Have those extra batteries ready for the flashlight, and be very careful with candles!
