ABC57 to broadcast, stream South Bend School Board candidate forum
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Community members are invited to a public forum with South Bend School Board candidates at Indiana University South Bend on September 28. The forum will also be broadcast and streamed on ABC57.
Conversation with the Candidates will be held in Wiekamp Hall from 7 to 8 p.m.
During the free event, the audience will learn about the candidates running for the South Bend Community School Corporation's Board of School Trustees.
Candidates on the ballot include Kate Lee and Wylette Veldman-Weaver (District 1), Mark Costello, Laquita Hughes, Oletha L. Jones, and Gabrel Kempf (District 2), and Stuart Greene and Robert Smith (District 5).
The Board of Trustees is a seven-member board that includes five members elected by residents of each school board district and two that are elected at-large. Only districts 1, 2, and 5 are on the ballot in 2022.
