ABC57 wins national Edward R. Murrow award

ABC 57 News is proud to announce we have won a national Edward R. Murrow Award for Making Picture Perfect Memories in the Feature Reporting category.

The award is presented by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) for excellence in electronic journalism.

Making Picture Perfect Memories documents the heartbreaking, yet inspiring story of a mother who must deliver a baby knowing it will not survive. An organization called Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep helped the family document the birth and precious hours Joshua lived. The family gave ABC57 News complete access to the delivery and Joshua's funeral.

The Murrow Awards are named for the iconic journalist and broadcast innovator Edward R. Murrow.

The ABC57 team will receive the award on October 12 at an awards ceremony in New York City.
