Abromatis to sit out first four games of upcoming ND basketball season

NOTRE DAME, Ind.--Last season, he was a force to be reckoned with. Now, he'll have to sit out because of an NCAA violation.

Notre dame forward, Tim Abromaitis apparently misunderstood the rules. The problem dates back to his sophomore year when he played in two exhibition games. He then sat out for the rest of the exhibition season to preserve a year of eligibility.

The NCAA only allows freshmen to do that. Notre dame appealed, and Abromaitis was granted a 5th year of eligibility, but he has to sit out the first four games. Last season, he averaged 15 points, and six rebounds per game.

His first game back will be November 21st, against Missouri.
