Accident on westbound bypass at US 31 causes road blockage

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A semi-trailer truck blocked traffic on the westbound bypass at US 31 on Monday.
South Bend police confirmed that the call came in around 6:44 p.m. about a semi-trailer blocking traffic.
According to officials, the trailer allegedly came off the cab of the semi and slid into the roadway, causing the blockage.
There were no injuries reported and the scene is cleared.
Drivers in that area should be aware of possible delays on the roadway.
