Accidental Drowning On Old Lake

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind.-- Indiana conservation officers are investigating a possible drowning on Old Lake in Whitley County.
Police say a 29-year-old male was swimming by himself away from the lake shore and even though his girlfriend ran out to try and rescue him he disappeared under the water.
His body was recovered 6 hours later in 20 feet of water by officers and dive teams.
An autopsy was done today in Fort Wayne indicating accidental drowning.
But until the lab test results are complete the investigation remains ongoing.
