ADEC Industries named "Most Inclusive Workplace"

BRISTOL, Ind. -- ADEC was presented the “Most Inclusive Workplace” Award of 2022 at the Northeast Indiana Manufacturing Awards.

Awards are given to regional manufacturers on a number of criteria from staff diversity to workplace innovation. Companies are voted for by community members through local newspapers and websites.

ADEC’s Board of Directors and Leadership changed the company from a sheltered workshop to a fully integrated employer in 2020.

Previously, ADEC Industries gave occupational training for adults with disabilities and helped rehabilitate the blind.

Today, community members with intellectual and developmental disabilities perform high-quality packaging and assembly work at ADEC for industries nationwide. Products include ADEC’s branded Silver Lining trash bags, which are used throughout Indiana.
