MISHAWAKA, Ind.— With the recent closure of Animal Emergency Clinic in Mishawaka, pet owners will be pleased to know that a new, after-hours emergency veterinary hospital has opened for cats and dogs.

North Central Veterinary Emergency Center opened its new location in Mishawaka on Thursday evening.

The hospital will be open each week at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and will operate through Monday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Last patients will be accepted at 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

North Central Veterinary Emergency Center says they have been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

The center says this indicates they have met the standards that incorporate all aspects of veterinary medicine needed to provide care to patients and their owners.

They have two other locations in Westville and Highland, which are open 24/7.

Their hospital in Mishawaka will provide emergency surgery, medical care, overnight hospitalization, and advanced diagnostics.
