Airborne gummies recalled due to injury hazard

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for a number of Airborne Gummies because of an injury hazard.

The 63- and 75-count bottles are being recalled because of pressure build-up in the bottle that can cause the cap and seal to pop off forcefully.

Only unopened bottles are being recalled. Bottles already opened have already released any pressure build-up and no longer pose an injury hazard.

The bottles were sold in orange, blueberry pomegranate, and assorted fruit flavors.

Reckitt, the product’s manufacturer, has received 70 reports of the hazard, including 18 reports of minor injuries and one report of an eye injury needing medical attention.
