A.J. Wright asks to be let out liabilities owed to South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A company that abandoned its warehouse and distributing center is asking South Bend to let it out of its liabilities.

A.J. Wright owed penalties to the city for closing the operation.

But if they city waves the penalties it will be easier to sell the building and get someone new in there.

They city is expected to approve the waver.

ABC57 caught up with Common Council member Henry Davis, Jr. on Thursday who talked about the issue.

The county says a number of people have showed interest in the building.
