AM General awarded $356M contract for HMMWVs

AM General announced Monday it has been awarded a $356 million contract to manufacture and deliver 1,673 HMMWVs to the US government for delivery to the Afghanistan National Army and Police.

The vehicles will be manufactured at the Mishawaka plant. The order is expected to be completed by July 29, 2017.

The order calls for 1,259 -M1151A1B1 HMMWVs and 414 - M1152 A1B2 HMMWVs.
